Notes for Parents and Staff

General Information

The games on this site are made for students, parents, and staff as teaching aids and reinforcement of curriculum learned in the classroom. They are not a replacement for staff and peer interactions and instruction. I have made them myself using the experience and skills I've acquired in the classroom to meet our student demographics needs.

Why did you make the site?

Students are often taught skills in the classroom, but do not get to practice those skills in different scenarios, so are only able to perform them in one specific setting. I made these games to give students another avenue to practice, reinforce, and strengthen those skills in different scenarios to help them with flexibility. They are just another tool of many in my classroom toolbox.

It is also a great way for myself and staff to observe student progress and figure out where their strengths and struggles are.

Why does a page require a password?

Fair Use and Copyright laws in the United States allow me to create aids to be used in my Special Education classroom for personal use to better facilitate in-classroom student learning. I can't release them to the general public or wider internet, so they are required to be password protected. If you are a parent of one of my students and are curious what is being played, please contact me.

Where can I play these?

The website and games are built with the in-classroom smart board in mind. However, I've made sure they are playable on any browser on any device including: phones, tablets, chromebooks, desktops, and laptop computers. It responds to mouse clicks and touch screens.

Some students may require help to play certain games at home. They are built with social interaction in mind, not necessarily solo play. Students who have stronger reading skills may be able to play on their own.

Can I request a game?

Sure! I am always looking for new ideas to add to my toybox. I can't promise I can make every idea, but I will do my best. Games should reinforce at least one (or more!) or these skills:

  1. Social navigation (emotions, sharing, teamwork, communication, etc)
  2. Motor skills
  3. Literacy
  4. Math
  5. Life skills (Grocery shopping, safety, chores/jobs, etc)
  6. Core Cognitive (Sequencing, matching, pattern recognition, visual discrimination, etc)

How can I contact you?

If you are a parent of one of my students, you may contact me through Class Dojo, a call to the school, or email. Staff should see me in person or email!
